We are currently looking to hire an experienced BSA Analyst to work out of our Corporate office in Long Island City. The BSA Analyst will be responsible for assisting the BSA Officer and EDD Manager in order to ensure adherence to State & Federal regulatory compliance regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and related laws.

Work with the BSA Officer to administer the Bank’s BSA/AML Program and related procedures in accordance with the Bank’s policies with a particular focus on Enhanced Due Diligence of banking customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Review and validate risk ratings for new accounts using the AML system risk rating module.
  • Perform enhanced due diligence (EDD) and monitoring reviews for customers identified as high risk.
  • Review KYC documentation for accuracy and consistency and perform negative news screenings and analysis.
  • Execute and complete EDD reports in a timely and robust manner.
  • Identify transactions that may be indicative of illicit or suspicious activity
  • Perform independent analysis for cases involving suspicious activity including, but not limited to, structuring, unusual transactions, check fraud, and kiting for escalation to the FIU Manager.
  • As scheduled, perform analysis of core application and AML system reports that identify potential suspicious activity, including case management.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring, as required, of all high risk accounts in accordance with the established monitoring schedule.
  • Stay current with changes in BSA and related laws & regulations.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree and one or more years of banking or BSA experience. Focus on Enhanced Due Diligence and Investigatory work preferred. Effective oral and written communications skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients and customers.
